Actually, I think it's an 1/8 inch pipe plug, but yes, farmers often used it for a vacuum tap to run a couple milking units when the power went out. ok for occasional use....not good for steady use. BTDT while growing up. Grease gun angled end fit perfectly, small hose from there to the nearest spigot in the barn vacuum line.......better than pulling (cow) teats by hand!
