I pulled the engine on my wd45, to replace the clutch and pressure plate, and got side tracked on clean up, of the frame and tranny area. While the motor is out I am replacing the seal on the jack shaft, between the bell housing, and the belt pulley gear compartment. I removed the plate over the belt pulley gear, to see if I could push the old seal out that way,( you can't)Sure enough I got dirt down in the chamber, and got me 3' of 3/8 air hose, and tried to suck the dirty oil up thru the hose and hold my tounge over the end, till I could put the other end in a coffee can to drain it.5 or 6 hose fulls, and each time getting some HY TRAN in my mouth, and I realised that I wasn't making any head way.I looked under it and removed a plug I found thare, and it drained out for me. It seems that every unit in trhe string there share the same oil. I am guessing that 5 gal of HY TRAN is not going to be enough, to replace all compartments. I see white (rainwater) in my oil, and will change it all the way back. Better order a new rubber shifter boot also. How come whining don't make me feel better? I do hate to buy oil!
