I went to look at a couple of G's yesterday only 20 minutes from home. The one that struck me was a '49. It's an old restoration or old paint job - not real bad, not nice either. The tin isn't bad, but not dent-free either. It's been stored inside. The engine is stuck but the owner said it was running three years ago. Fuel tank smelled of varnish. Muffler wasn't original type. It needs two rear and at least one front tire, but the rims look good. The tool bar and parallel lift linkages and levers are there. It has a Woods belly mower on it, which I don't want. I offered the owner $1,500, half what he was asking. Was I in the ballpark or is he?
