Use the clutch to get started moving or to go from forward to reverse (only at a full stop). if you've driven a stick shift vehicle, run the throttle as you would shift a stick vehicle, but no clutch. Also, pretty sure the clutch on those is a 2 stage with the very end of clutch travel being a tranny brake. You should push the clutch down and about 2/3 of the way down feel some new resistance. Tranny brake helps you get the range (high/low) into gear without grinding. Lasts about once if you use it to stop the tractor. On dad's 7060 PS pushing the clutch in while in 5th or 6th will kick it back to 4th. Something to keep in mine if you are rolling, push in the clutch, then let it back out. Any other questions, just ask. Best thing is to get in a hay field or someplace quiet and just play around.
