RLA I guess you didn"t read that it is NOT a house well. There is NO basement, no tank, no house. It is a stand alone well for irrigation only. The switch is inside the well case. It lasted 16 years before it quit. The threads are 1" I made a T handle and was able to pull and lift it. I hooked the pitless on the edge of the case and was able to swap out the switch. It went like planned and took about an hour for the whole job. Like most things, picking up parts and planning etc. took longer than the repair. Steve Thanks again for your imput.
