Nothing wrong with red light cameras in my opinion. If I screw up and run a red light, then it's my responsibility to pay the fine, not gripe about how unfair the camera is! Lots of people want to complain about government "intrusion" in their lives. If it's a PUBLIC street, then the public has the right to take what measures are necessary to keep red light runners from "intruding" in to the lawful space of those who have the green. Seems like we have a lot of folks in this great land who believe they should be able to do what they want to, even if it endangers others. 18-wheelers and other large, heavy vehicles do sometimes have problems with light changes at legal speed. Most of the ones I see crowding the lights aren't trucks.
