I called a good friend of mine who lives just south of Poplar Bluff MO about a quarter mile from the Black river. He said the river is as high as he has ever seen it (lived there all his life) and they need a couple of days for the river to go down some before they get more rain. The Weather Channel was reporting a levee gave way just south of Poplar Bluff earlier today, and they were filming on Hwy 53 between Poplar Bluff and Qulin.
