Why not just use nominal 1" pine boards. That's all I've ever used. Periodically I paint them (top only) with burned (used) motor oil. They'll last forever (I've got one in my manure spreader graveyard that has been in the weather for 25+ years with no rot), the initial replacement cost is practically nil and burned motor oil is free...and it lubricates the chain while you're painting the floor.
