The most important thing is to talk to optometrists and other people to get references on a good cataract specialist. My dad went to a private clinic(Gimbel eye center)and said it was like having a new set of eyes. He had to pay extra for a private clinic but another client of his optometrist's didn't want to pay extra and had it done at the hospital with bad results. The so called specialist at the hospital scratched his cornea's. I imagine nowadays that most specialists will have a lot of experience, so there shouldn't be any problems.
