With a goal of 175 bushel to acre my costs are as follows here in south eastern Iowa.
P and K $75 per acre. Nitrogen $93 per acre. Seed $88 per acre. Herbicides $30 per acre. Fuel $9 per acre. Prepayed in January at $2.75 a gallon. And I figure $75 an acre equipment costs. That"s what it would cost if I hired it all done for me.
We only lime about every 10 years here and it cost about $30 an acre with a 3 ton rate. So about $3 an acre per year.
