We have done them for over fourty years, and never used wire, or two coats. Did you use mason cement or what?
Yesteray I patched in a doorway for a guy, he said we plastered the whole inside of his barn in 71. We both looked, and found no cracks. His barn was built 125 years ago. He has not used it since 93, so I have no idea why he is fixing it up.
Your job looks nice, I enjoy the old barns, but the do cost alot to keep them in good shape. I have to wonder what these new buildings will look like in the future.
