The same thing is happening here, big time. I've seen multiple classified ads this spring selling alfalfa and sudex seed some by the pallet. "I ordered this, but decided to go with corn instead". There's definitely going to be a lot of corn in the ground this summer. I'm glad I still have a barn full of 2010 square bales because I really don't want to be buying any hay next winter.
