I've got a Sherman 54B900 Power Digger I picked up last spring. It needs some TLC, but my main pain points are the swing and stabilizer cylinders. The swing cyl's are pretty rusty, and leak like a sieve, mostly due to the pitting surface rust on piston. I looked around but didn't find any place I could buy them without looking up specs on cylinders designed for other purposes.
So the question is... what do you think my best bet is on getting these refreshed? Do shops even rechrome cylinders any more?
Further, I'm missing one of the stabilizer cylinder assemblies. Anyone know of a place that can duplicate an assembly if given the matching cylinder? or am I better off just ditching them and finding a replacement set?
