Had a '75 Dodge with the same setup and it was one of the toughest trucks I've ever owned. Here in NY the price of scrap is high enough that lots of people are offering $300-500 for any vehicle in any shape, which drives the price of actual running vehicles up beyond that. Still, $1200 might be a bit high--I paid half that for mine 15 years ago, and parts are getting harder to find for the older Dodges. If the split rims are 16 1/2", tires for them are outrageous and very few people will work on them if you can't do it yourself. I ditched mine for a set of 16" rims and tires from an old Ford (they bolted right up) and they worked fine.
