Not sure I would bet the farm on it but have seen people do it. Dad would find water lines, wires and gas lines with decent accuracy. Guy told us where to put the well, but I think he was a quack and just got some bucks..We were on a river bottom about 300ft from the river and folks would punch wells with a ram filter and T post driver. As for some not being able to do it, could be in the body, my brother could never wear a watch until the digital ones came out (could wear one but never knew the right time) because he has so much electricity (??) in his body. I've always been gonna try it, but just never got around to it.
