I'll take a check for something provided the buyer's bank is local and open at the time of the deal. Once you cash the check at their bank, it's the same as if the buyer gave you cash. In God I trust, all others pay cash. There's no way I'll ever mess with PayPal ever again. Made the mistake of linking my checking account to a PayPal account once. Someone cleaned it out. Fortunately my bank valued my business and reversed all the fraudulent charges.
