If you do the math, even a 25mph crash, without a seatbelt is the same as jumping off a 2 story building. And for those who think they don't need a belt because they don't expect an accident-if you did expect it, wouldn't you stay home instead? Also, the belt has to be worn the right way. If you were chaining down your car on a trailer, would you run the chain over the hood, roof, trunk, or through one window and out the other? I hope you attach to the frame or axles. Make sure to run your belt over YOUR frame(hips and shoulders)NOT OVER YOUR STOMACH OR UNDER YOUR ARM!!! To anyone reading this who doesn't wear a belt I AM NOT CRITICIZING YOU I WANT YOU ALIVE!! I know a couple who were in a small accident, he(a firm believer in belts) was barely shaken, she(a firm non-believer) was in the hospital for over a month(now a firm believer).
