No I'm in Northern central Pa. the original "meth valley". A kid I went to school with was one of the people that refined the methods of cooking meth back in the 1980s. Thru the 90s and until recently Meth labs dotted the landscape in this area. Law enforcement finally woke up and started educating people and really getting rough. This drove the "cookers" out to places like Indiana and the midwest. That stuff isn't real conducive to being made in a populated area as it smells quite bad as I'm told. We had people getting shot stealing ammonia and most other chemicals. If you bought starting ether you got real suspicious looks. All cold medicines you still need to show ID to buy. This area was initially popular for producing that stuff due to it's rural "charm" but close proximity to NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore/Washington. Folks are pretty sensitive to 'abnormal behavior' and funny smells these days. There were 2 'labs' busted within a mile of me a couple years ago, I had no clue.
