NEVER ever PULL one to pop it free things like to brake it you do. But first off you need to know why it locked up. If cylinders have water in then you can soak them till the end of the world and it will not free up because water is heavier then oil so you can not get to oil where it is needed. First off you need to have ALL cylinder empty of water/coolant then and only then can you fill with ATF etc. If not sure fill with alcohol and atf mix 50/50
