We got as much as 2 inches per hour this afternoon. 5 to 6 inches on the ground at 6:00pm. wet snowman snow. Right now, (10:45) we are getting sleet, snow and rain. Temperature is 29 degrees. At about 8:00pm went down to Montcalm Community College to get DIL, and the further south I got, the lesser snowfall. Went through bands of snow, rain and sleet. Was out in the barnyard to check sheep, especially a couple of newborn lambs, and the sleet and wind really stung the face. Weather reports frorm Grand Rapids TV stations are saying excess of 1/4 inch of freezing rain for this area overnight. Morning may be challenging! Set the generator out where I can get at it behind the PU truck if needed.
