I hope this doesn"t burst your bubble, but natural gas is the same KIND of energy (carbon and hydrogen) as gasoline and diesel fuel, and almost all of the NG that we use, comes from the same SOURCE (oil/gas wells) as gasoline and diesel fuel. (An infinitesimal amount comes from landfills, etc.)
The same is true of Propane, except IT is actually REFINED from crude oil, in the oil refineries.
