Those suit are only to keep the dust off the skin and to keep a person from inhaling the radioactive dust. Have you ever picked up one of those vest in an X-Ray dept of a hospital?? A suit that would help a person would be a few hundred pounds and still only protect for part of what a person was getting. There are 3 form of radiation Alpha Bata and Gamma and the last of the tree is what causes the greatest problems and is the hardest to slow down or stop.
