We were looking at northern Japan on Google Earth last night. The damaged reactors are actually on land fill built out into the sea as close to the epicenter of the quake as any of the Japan mainland can be. Just a very few miles away. To me it is more a tribute to the design and construction of them, that they still have anything to contain and control after subjecting it to the quake and Tsunami, than that they are having troubles with it. MAN what a hit those plants must have taken! Amazing they are still standing and that the staff on duty survived to continue their jobs! The media should be saluting their dedication and bravery instead of blowning the anti nuke whistle. I abhore talking heads!!
