About all of the planters around here have drag chains. They wipe out the press wheel marks. We have steep sloops that with even planting on the contour a big rain will wash out the seed down the press wheel mark. They will also drag a small pile of dirt along that will fill in any missed covered seed. Those chains are a square,twisted link chain. Regular old chain will not work as well. Regular chain drags a pile of dirt and then dumps it. So you end up with a bunch of little mounds. The other will drag flat and just level the press wheel marks.
