I had my four months follow-up appointment with my urologist in downtown Houston this morning. I take I-45 most of the way. I noticed a nursery in Spring using a heavy-duty truck mounted telescoping crane extended into the air a hundred feet or more with a good-sized palm tree suspended, tub and all, ready to plant. This looked like an expensive form of advertising. I guess there must be a good profit in the nursery business. One the way home, I was northbound, a few minutes out of the downtown area, when I met a southbound semi with a covered load of probably palletized cargo. The truck was almost even with me when I noticed a John Deere narrow front row crop tractor setting on the tarp at the front of the trailer. A glance in the mirror made me think it possibly was an MT similar to the Howell's, as the steering wheel seemed lower than that of the A & B. Although it was only a glimpse, it appeared to by in reasonably good condition. That's the first time I've seen an older tractor being transported in that manner. Hopefully it was headed for restoration, rather than the scrap heap. C. L.
