Napa has a really good battery terminal cleaner. It sprays on yeallow and turns red if it reacts with anything so you get a good visual of progress. Brush it in and rinse it off.
I bought my terminal "paint" from Autozone and while they had a small can diplayed, they had a larger commercial quality style in stock for the same price. It has worked great. I orginally also bought the AZ cleaner but it is not nearly as good as the NAPA brand.
I have had no luck with the washers but know many people who have.
