Keep in mind, an emergency is not limited to the fall of the dollar! Here where I live, we had a storm that knocked out the power for just a few days and gasoline couldn't be found anywhere! The places that did have it were excepting cash only,....NO ATM, NO DEBIT, and NO PERSONAL CHECKS.
I walked in and purchased what I wanted because I have some cash that is available to me anytime an event, even as small as this happens.
Why am I sharing this kind of information here? My thinking is that the more who are READY regardless of what the emergency is, the better most of us will all be with less begging, pilfering, and rioting!
Not being prepared is just that,..not prepared. Knock on my door during a time of chaos, .... you will find the end of a gun barrel and a free bowl of soup. You will get to eat it if you leave.
