: : I have a 1951 Farmall Cub that I would love to convert to a 12 volt electrical system. Can anyone please give me some help with finding information on this procedure. : : Thanks in advance, : : tfreeman : I've converted several M's, and sketched a wiring diagram of a 12 volt alternator conversion. Don't know much about Cubs, but expect they are wired the same as their bigger brothers. E-mail me off-line if you want a copy of the diagram - I'll e-mail it back to you. : Bob I've got an old Cub that I run on 12v with no charging system. To run the engine, all you need is a 12v coil with built-in resistor, available at most auto parts stores. You can get several days running with a good 12v battery, it is very difficult to swap the Cub enerator with an alternator.
