Now matter how John Demaris got his JD tractor education I can assure you from what little I know about JD tractors it's not self taught. He's the most knowledgeable man on JD DubuqueMannheim utility tractors that I've had the pleasure of reading his replies on repairs. This doesn't include his vast automotive knowledge. So he's set in his ways but so am I. Being human he's also capable of making a mistake.
Granted he owns a lot of vehicles, equipment and he has a young son with long hair BUT THAT"S HIS BUSINESS not yours or mine.
