Black color and white face are both dominant genes. If you breed a angus (that has no red genes) to a hereford (either way) you will get a white face black calf.
Breeding this calf is where you will run into color problems. If you breed this calf to a hereford you will get 50% white face black calves and 50% white face red calves. OR...If you breed this calf back to a angus you will lose the white face 50% of the time.
