Red is recessive to black and the white face is dominant. Most people use black bulls on Hereford cows but I think anyway you breed "em they"ll be baldies. I bred Herford cows to Red Angus bulls and got red baldies and a few red brockle faced calves. I run mainly Red Angus cows now and I"m going to use a polled herford bull on them next year.
