Actually I'd see if a local auctioneer would allow you to put the guns (and maybe some of his other things) on an upcoming auction. Unless they are extremely high dollar weapons they will probably bring top dollar or more.
Online auction sites will only allow licensed dealers to buy weapons and private buyers have to go through them. The people that use those sites have a better handle on the value of a firearm and bid accordingly.
The local auction will have people that don't have a freaking clue what the value of anything is and will almost always make used weapons bring new price or better. I've only seen a few times where a live local auction sold weapons that brought less than "book" value - both times I went home with them. The only time you might not get full price is if you are selling something that's rare or exceptional in price. Everyone has $250 for Mossberg 500, or $300 for a Savage rifle. Where you might come up short is with a Custer SN range NRA Rated Fine Model 1873 Colt Peacemaker, or a Fulton Armory M1A. Something that goes well beyond the buying power and knowledge of the casual buyer.
