Seems to me you would want one or the other. Gear drive or chain drive. They are not interchangeable nor are the axle housings for each type. BWDIK.
MV's use chain drive. I saw a cotton farmer in Bakersfield, CA with several pallets of chain drive drop-boxes. Not sure why he had them. The High Drum pickers use gear drive. I would have bought a set but he couldn't find the axle housings. Goto CaseIH parts site to see what you need.
