Had left knee replaced 12-13-06 with Zimmer non-cemented unit. Was in the hospital for 4 full days after surgery because of pain. It never did work right at all. It hurt every day for 4 years. Had it redone 12-21-10 by another doctor (my back doctor). Was out of the hospital at noon 12-23! Very little pain. Did so well that the home health nurse and therapist released me EARLY to go to outside therapy. Was on walker for 30 days and am on cane now and should be completely off it this week. Used the cane full time before. Already have 110 degree flexion. The therapists and trainers are all impressed. Dont get impatient! You cant rush things. Itll come about in its on goood time. By all means take your meds like they say to. And, doo all the exercises with out fail! I have been doing mine with more weight than at therapy;) Also use an ice pack for pain! Hope every thing goes well for you.
