Hang on to those precious memories. If you can, record them in some foremat. I never got to meet either of my grandfathers, or one grandmother. Lost my other grandmother when I was just a toddler. How I wish I could have sat down with them, and learn about the family history. They lived through some terrible times in our history, and It would sure be interesting as to how they got through them. I did get one warm fuzzy a while back.... an old timer I was visiting with mentioned that he could remember my grand parents attending church where he went when he was a kid. Now I know they were church people.
