Reminds me of the Boy Scout camp I worked at when I was fifteen. Little past Long Lake going toward Tupper. Was an old millionaire"s estate. Lived in the 6,000 sq. ft. main lodge. The scouts owned 3 mountains, a hugh lake filled with largemouth bass and several thousand acres. I tought swimming, life saving, canoeing and sailing. It was donated to the scouts by Amanda Watt.
My mother said she hoped someday I would own something like this. Ended up with 160 ft. of shoreline and a 1600 sq. ft. log home in the southwest Adirondacks. She stayed with us every weekend until she passed.

Today's Featured Article - The Revival of a John Deere Combine - by The Red, John Fritz. For several years I had been driving by a farm house on the west side of Indianapolis that had a John Deere combine parked in high weeds in a lot behind the house. The gentleman no longer farmed because the entire area was developed with housing and light industry. I had stopped several times and knocked on the door but no one would answer.
