I used my Ward's garden tractor for making the furrows to plant the seed potatoes and I used it to plow out the potatoes. I used the same old moldboard plow for plowing the garden. The plow came with a Viking garden tractor I bought in 1960 for $15.00. When I sold the Viking I kept the plow and had to make a frame to fit on my Wards tractor sleeve hitch. I use the tractor's hydraulic lift to raise and lower it. I always planted Kennebec and Red Bliss potatoes. I kept them in old upright freezer burried in the ground since my basement was too warm. Hal PS: When we raised sweet potatoes on the farm we planted them on raised beds.
