Last year at the end of Feb when we had 30" of real heavy snow in a 20 hr period, 4 buildings within a couple miles of me went down. One old barn 2 older pole barns, (one I know had a leaky roof for a while and some of the trusses were rotted) , and one building not over 15 years old . I spent most of this afternoon shovelling off 2 of my buildings and breaking ice off the eaves on the east side of my house. Spent a lot of time shovveling roofs here after that storm last winter too. I too often wonder why people dont clean deep snow off their roofs, and some of them probably wonder why I do.
