Fifty years ago, either the US or Britain controlled all the shipping "pinch points" in the world...Gibraltar, the Panama Canal, the Suez Canal, and most others. One by one, these places are in the hands of others. The result is, the US is at the mercy of others to make sure that commerce goes on as it should...and many of these other countries want to revert to a Stone-Age world, but still keep the money that flows from all this commerce. We ALL know THAT ain't gonna happen.
