Soil type? I have a Deere 10A on a 1640 and with a 12" bucket. It will dig into and curl a full bucket of blue clay but has little to spare in such conditions. Same outfit plays with a 3ft grave bucket in sand,gravel or loam. A three point hitch hoe while way better than a shovel. Is a flopping wobbling rig of a thing. Fixed hitch is way preferred. Type of tractor? Some have great and not so great hydraulics?
