Around here we have 246 corn or bean planters, they were to fit IH and Ford N tractors. They were factory built, so they probably did the same with yours. You can check on the JD forum, have seen this discussed there I think.
The small size lets the corn planter fit in 2 half rooms in the corner of the barn and you can hang tobacco around it losing no barn space.
