Mowed with a #5 on a Farmall M for many years. Just bolted the flat hitch bar of the mower to the flat bar of the tractor hitch (had to remove the drawbar roller and drop the drawbar a little and tied up to the hitch). Ran the cutter bar lift with a hydraulic one-way cylinder ran off the belly pump. Really nothing special needed, BUT, that is with a mower equipped with the older flat hitch, and not the quick hitch. If you have a manual for the #5, it will show how the mower is hitched to many different brands and models of tractors.
