I used to be a baseball fan, but I've pretty much lost interest during the past few years.
I grew up in Northeastern Ohio in the 40's, 50's and early 60's. So, without trying to be a "smart-donkey", I'd just observe that the Cleveland Indians actually defeated the Boston Braves in the 1948 World Series.
I think the Indians have set a record for the most consecutive years of a baseball club not to win another world series since their last one.
So, we must give the poor guys a break on that 1948 thing.
