Ya know..we had one of the first of those deals here in Mt Pleasant several years ago. A disgruntled old man shot and killed the Mayor and wounded two city councilmen at a Council meeting. It's when Tom Vilsack started his political career, taking over as Mayor. We had the Media for about three days, and then they left. And they should have. While the incident in Tuscon is tragic and unfortunate, you don't know how many more sicko's are lurking in the shadows that are getting big ideas from the media frenzy. You can't make enough regulations or laws to stop them. The Media and political hype makes it worse. The best that can be done is let the families grieve their losses, and let the wounded heal. Leave 'em alone and quit fueling the fire.
