Shhhhhh. He was my 2nd uncle or how do they say it once removed? Oh well,,, If you want to loose a fortune, be in this family. LOL my Grandpa on the Tucker side was the largest contractor in Texas for building railroad beds. He landed a contract in Oklahoma where my dad was born and was building a railroad from Paryton Texas to Cheyenne Oklahoma. 3 miles form having it finished the owners came out to the job and told them they were broke and couldn't pay him. He sold everything he had but 2 4up teams and two wagons to pay off his bills. He paid them in full and had $6.00 dollars to boot. That may not sound like much but his outfit before he sold it consisted of 635 head of horses and mules and all the harness and equipment it took to move all that dirt and 200 men. But he payed everyone every last cent he owed them. and the men that didn't live close, he bought a train ticket home. Just the story of another lost Tucker fortune. That was in 1912. Larry Tucker
