With all due respect to JM, heating problems can range from the ridiculous (rusty pressure cap on pressure systems or, as stated, blowing out the chaff etc) to the horrifying (major internal engine problem/s), even in generally bulletproof engines... One might wonder why a supposedly minor problem wasn't corrected before sale, which would both make selling easier and bring a better price...
