I agree. Our daughter got a speeding ticket in Nebraska when she was in the process of moving to Washington DC. The trooper asked if that was her correct address, and without thinking she gave him her DC address. So, he cited her for not having her current address on her license.
She had to get a Nebraska license with her DC address. Two days later, she left for DC permanently. A Nebraska license with a DC address? I never did figure that out.
Plus, the speeding ticket was shaky to start with and amounted to nothing more than entrapment. I hate to say it, but that was the day I started losing respect for the Nebraska State Patrol. I've had other issues since.
