I'm caught with a dilemma. If an intruder breaks in while I'm asleep there is no way I'm going to be able to get my gun, load it and use it in time. So, what are some of you doing? What are opinions on this matter? There is a grandchild in the house occasionally. What odds do we play, never needing it or a terrible accident? 1. Keep it loaded and well out of reach. 2. Keep it unloaded with ammo near by. 3. Keep it unloaded with ammo in a different location. 4. Keep it locked up with ammo in it, nearby or in a different location. Not wanting to start a bashing party but seeking good opinions.
