My Dad had 2 of those old Oliver 99"s with 2 stroke Detroits for custom plowing etc. and they not only had oil in the crankcase but had oil just about every where it was possible for oil to leak out.When worked hard the Engine compartments were covered with oil.They carried 5 gal cans of oil with them when they went to work.Him and his man worked on those tractors constantly trying to fix the oil leaks but I guess the leakage was just the nature of those old engines.
