I would nicely object to there acre estimate.
A lot of times a person at the FSA office, who has limited knowledge of farming and probably almost no knowledge of your farm has ran a GPS on your farm off the aerial image.
I have been sitting beside them when they 'redo' the acres in question. I have done this several times in several county offices. All of the time they have been real decent to deal with.
A lot of time there is an innocent mistake for a boundary or something that is kinda hard to tell on a map. "Oh that is a waterway, I thought it looked like a fenceline."
I am glad they go back and double check some things. As a taxpayer, I don't want to be paying someone for something I am not getting. Wierd idea these days, I know.
And if when you are beside them, and see the acres come up, if it is 100 or 140, take it as a fair number, and thank them for their time.
